Hello my friend Reader,
Someone asked me a question the other day, and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it.
The people you follow online, why do you follow them? What is it that draws you in?
I know my own answer, but I really want to hear yours.
So before I go any further, hit reply and tell me.
Who are you following, and why?
For me?
I follow people who are authentic, educational, and inspirational. And the more I sat with that answer, the more I realized those three things aren't separate qualities.
Because here's the truth, we can feel it immediately when someone isn't. There's something in us that knows.
And that got me thinking about Traditional Chinese Medicine and why I believe so deeply in it.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, there is a concept called Qi, the vital life force that animates every single one of us.
When Qi flows freely through the meridians in the body, we experience health, energy, and vitality.
But when it gets blocked by stress, by suppressed emotions, by wearing a mask for too long, by living a life that isn't really ours.
That stagnation doesn't just show up in how we feel emotionally. It shows up in the body first.
In TCM, inauthenticity is one of the causes of illness in the body. The energy of who you truly are cannot move freely when it's constrained by who you feel you have to be.
Living inauthentically = suppressed Qi = the beginning of disease.
At the root of TCM lies Taoism, the understanding that everything, including you, has a natural way. And health, real health, is what happens when you live in alignment with yours.
My role as a practitioner isn't to fit you into a template or hand you a generic protocol. It's to help you find your way back to yourself, your own authentic pattern of being.
This is why two people can walk in with the exact same Western diagnosis and walk out with completely different treatments. Because TCM doesn't treat the diagnosis. It treats the person. The real, whole, individual person.
So when you ask me why I follow the people I follow online, it's the same reason I practice this medicine. I'm drawn to what's real. And I believe you are too.
Now tell me who you are following, and what it is about them that keeps you coming back?
Hit reply. I am curious
All in good health,
Jeanettexoxo
P.S. The most important thing I can offer you isn't a treatment plan, it's a reminder that you already know what you need. Sometimes you just need someone to help you hear it. I'm here when you're ready.
